"We hired a chalet for our family weekend getaway, which suited our needs and our family perfectly. Our chalet was clean, neat and comfortable. It had everything we needed and was definitely value for money. We were very lucky, as we had considerate and friendly neighbours. I would definitely recommend Monks to anyone looking for budget friendly, decent self catering accommodation. Monks is within walking distance to the kwikspar which is open until late and it is a short walk through the park to the lagoon."

"Lovely stay, did not expect the caravan kitchen to be so small, but all was clean, the caravan windows don’t all seal properly and it was quite cold, but the experience as a wole was great. Ablutions were close, the view was great, braai was serviced daily. We had to assist with gate that was off the rails very ear;y one morning, but that was us getting back after clubbing. The staff are friendly. Ablutions are clean, water is medium hot, facilities are nice. Lovely walking areas to lagoon. The only problem we experienced was a parking one, that was too limited. We will stay at the bottom at the lagoon next time. Thank you for a lovely stay. To think my father used to visit with old Mr Monk, many moons ago. Glad I got to personally send regards!"

"The past weekend was my second stay at Monks. Every time it is rewarding experience. The tranquillity of this resort is out of the ordinary. You have this quietness, yet you are not far from anything. The people are friendly and helpful. Definitely a place I can recommend."
